Mountain Lion vs. Leopard: The Showdown
It’s a hot afternoon on the African savanna. A mountain lion is prowling far from his native land, hungry for a meal. He spots a leopard napping in an acacia tree. The mountain lion silently creeps closer, muscles rippling beneath his tawny coat.

The mountain lion overshoots the tree and lands on the ground. He spins around, lips curled back to reveal gleaming incisors. The leopard crouches above, snarling with teeth bared.
The two cats clash in a tangle of fur and claws! The leopard uses his agility, ducking and dodging the mountain lion’s attacks. He rakes his claws across the mountain lion’s face, drawing blood.
But the mountain lion is a brawler. He uses his size, swiping with huge paws and snapping with his long fangs. A heavy blow knocks the leopard off his feet.
The cats roll across the ground in a frenzy of flying fur. The leopard gets his jaws around the mountain lion’s neck! He clamps down with all his deadly bite force.
But the mountain lion’s neck is thick with muscle. He wrenches free from the leopard’s jaws. The two cats spring apart, panting and bleeding from a dozen wounds.

The mountain lion would most likely win against the leopard. While the leopard is extremely fierce and pound-for-pound the most powerful big cat, the much larger size and strength of the mountain lion would probably prove too much.
